Majima busts into a massage clinic, holding a knife and evidently Ready to Murder Someone. except he doesn't find anyone when he walks in.
When he gets further into the clinic -- an employee walks in, wondering if she left the door open. It quickly become evident she's blind because she doesn't spot Majima having snuck in, and doesn't realize it until they bump into each other. She freaks out at first but Majima lies and says he's a customer, he was just hoping to see if he could get an appointment.
Instead of the evident assassination attempt he was going for he ends up getting a massage and talking with the woman about her time with the massage clinic's manager, how much he goes out of his way to protect her and all his employees, etc. He falls asleep on the massage table, where the memory ends.
There's a bit in the leadup to this where Majima is informed of a customer causing trouble by the floor manager, so he walks out onto the floor himself to deal with him.
Gist;
Majima dressed in a nice suit and nice shoes, walks out onto a cabaret club's main floor. He talks with the trouble customer -- who's extremely drunk, harrassing the employees, fondling women -- and tells him he's an appreciated customer, and thanks him for his patronage.
Noteably any hint of his accent is completely gone; he's adopted a very formal, courteous, polite style of speech when talking with this guy.
Majima's mistaken for a bouncer at first but Majima tells the customer he's actually the manager of the club (name helpfully bleeped out). The customer accuses him of being a yakuza running the club, and Majima assures him he's a civilian, and asks him to refrain from touching and acts of violence while at the club. The customer gets mad and asks him to stop him by force.
Majima tells him of his policy with regards to running the club -- "the customer is king" -- he won't fight this guy. The customer grabs a bottle of alcohol and pours it all over Majima's face and taunts him; Majima stands unflinching, lifts his hand up to his face and wipes some off; "I had always said I love this brand so much, I wish I could bathe in it. You've made a dream come true."
This only makes the customer more pissed off; he starts trying to hit Majima with the bottle but he dodges every swing. Majima politely asks him to stop, and the customer asks what he'll do if he continues; for half second Majima speaks under his breath and his accent comes back: "If that's how ya want it..." -- and requests the band start a song. He says he'll dance with the customer but he won't raise a hand against him.
The "fight" consists of the customer trying to land a single hit against Majima and missing every single time. Finally, the customer tries to grab an ice pick and stab Majima with it, but Majima flips him and takes the ice pick away; "For your own safety, I'll hold onto this."
Majima's security is about to take the customer out of the bar but Majima stops him, and offers him a chance to "save face" -- it turns out Majima swiped his business card out of his pocket mid-fight, and the guy is a big wig at a pharmaceuticals company. Majima gives him an out; get sent to the police, or cover the clientele's bills for the night. Majima implores him to do the latter, saying he doesn't want a customer to be made a criminal, and even gets down on his knees in front of the customer to beg him to take it.
The customer is so abashed at that point he accepts the latter offer.
Gist; Majima meets a flustered young woman that calls out to him in the middle of a street. She asks him a rather odd request -- she asks him to be her boyfriend. Or, rather, to pretend to be her boyfriend, so her father who's been trying to hook her up with other men gets off her tail. Apparently Majima meets the exact category of dark, tall, dangerous and one-eyed she'd been looking for to fit the bills.
Majima ends up going the whole mile for this girl, going out on a date with her and meeting her father. Beforehand she tells him his "character" and he holds pretty well to the story while he meets her father. He's apparently convincing enough her father gives Majima his whole-hearted approval.
It turns out, though, at the end -- that her father knew Majima was pretending all along, and her father thanks Majima for playing along, confessing that he was just worried about his daughter and knew he was probably being a bit overbearing. The sidequest ends with the girl's father being so enamored with Majima he asks him to for-real date his daughter, and if she won't take Majima, the father offers to date him himself.
Insert a very sitcom-esque camera pan away with Majima exclaiming "This is why I'm single!"
Majima is running full tilt down a busy urban street when he runs into a middle-aged man -- that he seems to recognize, as he comes to a full stop, eye wide. The man greats him, friendly but definitely in a sinister way ; "Welcome back, ██████-chan".
Majima replies; "Sagawa ... han?"
Sagawa: "A little bird tells me you strolled out of Sotenbori for a hot second today? Had me worried, tiger. Got me thinking somebody popped you and I'd find you bobbing in the river, y'know?"
Majima: "I hit the jail to meet up with Nishitani."
Sagawa: "Oh yeah?! You want all the way down to the slammer?"
Sagawa steps forward, putting his hand on Majima's arm before putting his hand on his shoulder and guiding him to walk as they speak. And like he's congratulating a child that did particularly well, while Majima just looks surly:
Sagawa: "That's real dedication, kiddo!"
Abruptly, Sagawa turns, grabs Majima by the throat and pushes him into a nearby alley, shoving him up against the wall of seedy public bathroom.
Sagawa: "Sotbenori's not your backyard, asshole. It's your cage! CAGE! When you step out at a goddamn hotel you let the front desk know! So who the fuck are you leaving your cage without a word? Huh? Huh?! Where where are you off to now in all a rush?"
Majima, still being choked out: "Naturally ... to come report to you ... "
Sagawa: "That so? Oh good. "
Sagawa lets him down, and Majima bends, holding his neck and gasping for breath.
Sagawa: "'Cause killing you in a place like this ... would break my heart. Think of the poor cleaning lady."
Majima looks straight up at him with utter loathing in his eye.
Majima walks up to 3 guys in ... very vibrant tracksuits, yellow, blue and red. They apparently recognize him, greeting him as he approaches. Majima asks what the deal is because he doesn't have a lot of time. Apparently these three plan to put on big fights, three of them against Majima, solely using breakdancing. Majima seems dubious that people would pay for people dancing and pretending to fight.
The red-suited one says it would be the real deal, though, and Majima seems concerned at that -- pointing out hey if they actually fought it might leave some bruises. Red-suit seems aware of the consequences and Majima finally agrees.
They head over to a big bridge in the city, and start to fight. It's basically Majima wailling on them for 2 minutes; the more hits he lands the more money the crowd pays up. The breaker style is very fluid, stylish, and there's a lot of posing involved. Majima's apparently very limber as he can drop to his ass to spin and kick and do all kinds of hand-stands while he fights.
After the fight the three red-suited men are sore, and Majima asks if they're alright -- apparently he tried to pull punches but knows he went a little hard. They discuss the money they got, and red-suit gives Majima his take.
It ends up being 20% of the total earnings even though 1) Majima basically did most of the work 2) there's only 4 of them there. Red suit complains, saying he had to take all those punches, find the spot, has to spend so much extra on hot compresses for the bruising ... and Majima gives.
Red-suit slips up and mentions he can't wait to buy one of those CD boomboxes, then corrects himself and says "hot compresses!!" again as soon as Majima starts getting all affronted. Memory cuts away with them waving goodbye.
Majima greets people outside his cabaret. They're yakuza-looking types, mean-looking in suits; the one that talks with him has bandages, and seems to recognize him. Apparently they've had a few run in in the pasts. Bandages says the patriarch is waiting inside for Majima -- a patriarch who'd given him a call earlier, as well as the "gift of Makoto Makimura's dead body". The person he was supposed to kill from his first memory.
Majima heads inside the Grand. Inside the club is completely empty, except for a front table, where there's a man in a loud red suit surrounded by women laughing and entertaining him. He gets a little handsy with one, though, groping her through her top. After she finds out he's hard she gets upset and tries to make him let go, but he takes out a chequebook and slaps it down on the table. She seems to reconsider, and jokes about charging him 10 grand a second.
Majima walks in, unamused, and tells them sexual contact is prohibited here. The girls look guilty seeing him, but red-suit looks all interested, telling him to loosen up. Majima asserts himself firmly, telling him those are the rules. Apparently red-suit's rented out the entire Grand, though, saying he "played it fair and square" -- bribed all the staff, with a huge pile of cash Majjima spots on the ground. Red-suit waves the girls away so they can have a private talk.
Majima finds out his name -- he runs the Kijin clan, and his name is Nishitani. Nishitani tells him he wants Makoto Makimura -- chan, strange again, considering in his first memory Majima's idea of Makoto was a hulking massage therapist. Nishitani asks Majima where he's got "the little sweetheart" stashed. Nishitani'd sent people after her before but Majima stopped them, apparently, and Nishitani gets really excited at the thought; says he loooves him the strong types.
The next part gives a little more context --
Nishitani: But then I hear my new favorite guy's in a real fix 'cause he can't whack a lady. My heart just beld for ya. It's almost cute, y'know?
Majima questions his sanity. Nishitani clarifies, saying they don't want to kill her, they just want to have a nice chat with her, and asks Majima to hand her over again. Nishitani had evidently killed someone else as a stand-in for Makoto, a "gift", and says Majima could just tell his client that body was hers. Sagawa had apparently asked Majima to kill her. Nishitani says as long as he gets the girl he'll keep that secret safe.
Nishitani says he can't say why he needs the girl -- he's working for someone else -- but Majima can beat the answer out of him. They both get up, stare each other down for a moment then Nishitani punches Majima in the face. Majima doesn't punch him back and Nishitani gets confused, asking what the problem is.
Majima says it's his policy not to hit people in his club. Nishitani loses it (in a good way); "Heheheheh ... Oh man, oh man, you are just the precious little gift that keeps on givin'! But isn't this a predicment?! Gotta respect your policy, Majima-kun. But I also gotta fight you. I've got a real blood chub comin' on!"
Nishitani takes out a phone and calls the cops, saying there's a robber at the Grand and they need to come here quick. He uses this to get Majima to fight him -- he's no longer a customer but a a criminal, who needs to be kicked out of the bar. Nishitani is apparently way into Majima: "So quit playin' the tease and lemme have it, Majima-kun! This ain't even about work anymore. Let's have some fun!"
Majima ends up relenting; "If you're that bent on it, I'll play along. Be nice to take a little break from work myself."
Cue fight; Majima kicks his ass. Nishitani's laying on the floor of the grand.
Nishitani: Ahh .. that was fuckin' amazing ... Never felt this way in all my life ...
Majima questions how he's even still talking. The police come in to take Nishitani away. Nishitani refuses to give the reason why he's looking for Makoto even as he steps away; "Heh heh ... Gotta save a little fun for next time, big boy. I've decided you're my new favorite toy ... Majima-kun." Nishitani turns back to look at him and looks thrilled before he's finally taken away.
The floor manager talks with Majima after, saying there was a customer who rented out the club, and Majima tells him his rental's up and to get back to business.
Majima's in a dank concrete room, suspended from the ceiling with manacles, hunched over. He's a few years younger, his hair's cut shorter and he doesn't look like he's in the best state -- his face is bloodied and it looks like his eye wound is way fresher, no eye patch covering it. He's raising his head to see who answers.
A huge, bald man with thickset eyebrows and an egg-shaped head comes in, looking down at him. Majima speaks, weary:
Majima: "Shimano ... Boss ... "
Shimano: "Orders are absolute in the yakuza. Figured a guy like you would know that much."
Majima: "Boss .. my brother .. What happned to Saejima?!"
Shimano: "Hmmm..."
Majima: "Please, tell me. Boss!"
Shimano smirks at him; "Yakuza who lose their way wind up here in the hole."
Majima: "B .. boss ... "
Shimano: "Don't worry, we won't kill ya."
Two men enter, one carrying a flaming hot poker.
Shimano: "Although ... All the guys we throw down here end up cryin' and beggin' to die. Wonder why that is?"
Majima, sounding utterly heartbroken, desperate, just repeats: "Boss ... Where is my brother?! Please, tell me ..."
Shimano starts shutting the door behind him.
Majima: "BOSS!"
The memory ends with the heavy iron door slamming shut.
Majima's entering a small, cramped apartment, with a large muscled man facing out the window in it. The man has a large tiger tattoo on his back. He greets Majima -- "Brother". So this is evidently Saejima.
Majima's got both eyes in this memory, and looks the same age he did in the torture one even if yakuza 5 graphics are worse let it live it was on the ps3. Majima greets him, and a woman cheerfully shouts from the kitchen; "Oh, ██████-san! Nice to see you."
Majima takes a seat. "Thought I'd drop by an' say hi." Him and Saejima make some small talk about the heat and Majima brings up the ozone layer degrading; and Saejima teases him over that, saying he sounds all educated. Apparently Shimano told Majima about pollution messing up the environment; Saejima scoffs at the idea of yakuza talking about that.
Majima pulls out a watermelon, saying it would be perfect for the heat -- and the last time they'd be able to do something like this together. Saejima goes quite before telling Yasuko (the woman gets named) to get beer, so he can talk with Majima in private.
Saejima had been keeping Yasuko in the dark about their plans -- "I ain't gonna tell her we're off to kill a bunch of guys tomorrow." Majima argues he doesn't have to put it that way, and that he can just tell her they're "going away somewhere for a while". Saejima goes quiet again after dismissing the thought and asks if Majima brought the goods.
Majima pulls out a bag that he opens; filled with six revolvers, that he bought through the Dojima family. It seems like they were planning an attack on a man called Yoshiharu Ueno "And whatever Seiwa clan assholes he's got with 'im" for a total of about ten people maximum.
They both go quiet for a few seconds before Majima offers an out -- saying if Saejima wants to back out, now's his chance, as two versus ten still isn't exactly good odds. Even if they pulled it off they'd be going to jail for ten years, minimum -- worst case, life, and maybe even death row. Majima says he's been ready ever since the day he first called Shimano boss; he doesn't have anyone he'd be leaving behind.
But Saejima has Yasuko.
Saejima tells Majima his Kansai accent is slipping, and Majima gets angry. Saejima tells him he's made his peace, and he'd gladly die for Sasai (Saejima's boss?). On top of that -- he wants to know how far Taiga Saejima can climb in the Tojo ranks.
The memory ends with Majima looking at him, saying "Saejima..."
Majima's walking into an old, empty warehouse, filled with furniture, carrying a takeout bag. There's a girl sitting with her legs tucked up to her chest on a couch; she raises her head when Majima enters. It's the same woman from his very first memory -- the blind massage therapist he scared half to death.
Majima says he got her takoyaki and asks if she's calmed down. The woman says yes -- but now she's hungry. Majima tells her that's a good sign and gets the food ready.
After they eat, the woman asks what happened to his eye. Majima says it was an injury -- the eye got totally destroyed (maybe in comparison to the woman's, whose eyes seem intact but unseeing). The woman says that terrible; Majima says it does the job, and at least he still has one.
The woman says she feels bad for him ("Poor thing...") and Majima gets confused; tells her he's better off than him. The woman says her blindness was caused by emotional trauma, so there's a chance she'll recover. Majima says it's good that she's got hope. The woman brings up his eye again and he says his only complaint is that "it ruined such a handsome face". She asks if he's handsome, and he says it's a crying shame he can't show her. She agrees.
Majima spots a watch on her, and asks her why he has one; it's a bit odd for a blind girl. She says it plays a little chime, that's cute enough it makes her smile. The sound doesn't play anymore, though, because the watch is broken.
The woman explains -- "some things you just can't throw away, you know? Even if it seems pointless to other people, some things are just really important to you ... I lost my sight, lost all track of mine, the watch broke, the chime stopped playing ... I know. I have no need for it now. But it's a memento of back when my life was still normal. If I got rid of it. I feel like ... I'd never ... "
She trails off; Majima quietly reassures her.
Woman: "Still, I would love to hear it chime again ..."
Majima says he understands; tell hers to hang onto it long enough and it'll eventually bring her good luck.
She starts sliding it off, though, saying Majima's right -- she should stop holding onto stuff like this, or else she won't be able to face reality. She leaves it on the couch she was sitting on, standing up and heading for a wall, telling Majima he's very kind.
Majima argues with her -- saying if she feels like she still needs it, she should keep it. The woman says it's fine -- "I need to get strong. I will get stronger."
Majima goes silent and takes the watch, then tells her that "Lee" has some news he's looking into and he'll come back and tell her; and Majima tells her to sit tight. Majima gets up, tells the woman he's leaving, but before he does;
Majima: You ever heard the name Sagawa before? A yakuza with the Omi alliance.
Woman: I don't know him.
Majima: Gotcha ... Could be Sagawa's only doin' it because somebody told him to. Still, why's a girl like you got yakuza after her?
At this point -- it's pretty clear this is Makoto, the person Sagawa was trying to have killed, the person Nishitani from a few memories back was after.
Makoto: So is this Sagawa person blackmailing you into this?
Majima: Close enough. But I ain't innocent here. Killing you was the price of him doin' me a favour. He was gonna get me back into the Tojo Clan.
Makoto: Tojo Clan?
Majima: Nothin' you need to worry about.
Makoto: So then .. what happens if you keep letting me live? Will that yakuza come and ... kill you?
Majima tells her it's fine; "Lee" says he's got some kinda of plan. Makoto questions that and Majima tells her -- Lee's her boss, she should have more faith in him. Majima tells her he'll be back as soon as work's over.
TAKEAWAYS:
- MAJIMA IS VERY BAD AT KILLING PEOPLE - he was going to kill her to get back into the Tojo clan (maybe he was kicked out for something and that's why he was being punished in the first place) - evidently he couldn't do it; he's hiding her from the yakuza - Makoto's boss (maybe the muscley man from his first memory in the poster -- God Hands) still had a plan to get them out of this situation - Sagawa was probably after Makoto at the behest of another person. Shimano, who seemed higher up on the chain??
Memory 1 - worst assassin ever
Gist;
Majima busts into a massage clinic, holding a knife and evidently Ready to Murder Someone. except he doesn't find anyone when he walks in.

The floor manager talks with Majima after, saying there was a customer who rented out the club, and Majima tells him his rental's up and to get back to business.
memory 6 - a little snippet of hell
The memory ends with the heavy iron door slamming shut.
memory 7 - before the raid
Majima's entering a small, cramped apartment, with a large muscled man facing out the window in it. The man has a large tiger tattoo on his back. He greets Majima -- "Brother". So this is evidently Saejima.
Majima's got both eyes in this memory, and looks the same age he did in the torture one
even if yakuza 5 graphics are worse let it live it was on the ps3. Majima greets him, and a woman cheerfully shouts from the kitchen; "Oh, ██████-san! Nice to see you."Majima takes a seat.
The memory ends with Majima looking at him, saying "Saejima..."
memory 8 - karaoke
he ... sings ... karaoke
very excitedly
1:20 on I am 99% sure is a fantasy sequence he is not actually roller blading in a shiny disco outfit while singing in this bar
memory 10 - heat action montage
memory 11
Majima goes silent and takes the watch, then tells her that "Lee" has some news he's looking into and he'll come back and tell her; and Majima tells her to sit tight. Majima gets up, tells the woman he's leaving, but before he does;
Majima: You ever heard the name Sagawa before?
TAKEAWAYS:
- MAJIMA IS VERY BAD AT KILLING PEOPLE
- he was going to kill her to get back into the Tojo clan (maybe he was kicked out for something and that's why he was being punished in the first place)
- evidently he couldn't do it; he's hiding her from the yakuza
- Makoto's boss (maybe the muscley man from his first memory in the poster -- God Hands) still had a plan to get them out of this situation
- Sagawa was probably after Makoto at the behest of another person. Shimano, who seemed higher up on the chain??
- Majima is extremely compromised by sad people
